Eddy County is offering to take any size tire for free up to
10 tires/ vehicle on Oct. 27, Saturday, from 8am-2pm at both Sandpoint landfill
and the Carlsbad beach in conjunction with the Carlsbad Household
Hazardous Waste Collection Day at the same time. This includes large tires such
as: TRACTOR tires and Truck tires. This is a big chance to get rid of a
lot of old tires sitting around. Eddy County Public Works Dept. is
contracting to bring in a big tire shredder for a short time to shred all these
tires.
