TODAY: Secretary Perdue and
USDA Officials to Hold Press Call Regarding Assistance for Farmers Impacted by
Unjustified Retaliation
(Washington, D.C., August 27, 2018) – Today, U.S. Secretary
of Agriculture Sonny Perdue; U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA)
Undersecretaries Greg Ibach, Ted McKinney, and Bill Northey; and other USDA
staff will hold an off-camera, on-the-record briefing regarding USDA’s specific
plans to assist farmers in response to trade damage from unjustified
retaliation by foreign nations. The briefing will be conducted via conference
call beginning at 1:00pm ET, and the
information will be embargoed until the conclusion of the call.
