Maggard Quality Concrete School in collaboration with the New Mexico Ready Mix Concrete and Aggregates Association Jan. 12-13 on the NMSU Las Cruces campus. The Quality Concrete School provides professional engineers and other individuals involved in the aggregate, construction and transportation industry with information on the latest industry trends and technologies. Sessions will include topics such as the basic properties of concrete, use of GPS in Ready Mix and construction, sampling and testing, shrinkage, maturity testing and best practices for mega projects. The Quality Concrete School will be led by Craig Newtson and Brad Weldon, both civil engineering professors. Participants will earn up to 10 professional development hours.
